Refund policy

Refunds, Cancellations, Delivery & Production Policy

1. Bespoke & Custom Made Sauna Units

All sauna units supplied by The Irish Sauna Company are custom-built and manufactured to each customer's specific requirements.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 (Ireland) and applicable consumer protection legislation, the standard 14-day cancellation ("cooling-off") period for distance sales does not generally apply to goods that are made to a customer's specifications or are clearly personalised.

Production may commence immediately following receipt of the customer's deposit.

By placing an order and paying a deposit, the customer acknowledges that their sauna unit is being manufactured specifically for them and that production planning, workshop scheduling, procurement of materials and supplier commitments may begin immediately.

2. Transparency Throughout Your Build

We believe our customers should be part of the manufacturing journey.

Once production begins, The Irish Sauna Company provides build progress updates approximately every two weeks, where practical, allowing customers to follow the progress of their sauna through key stages of manufacture. Updates may include chassis preparation, framing, insulation, cladding, interior fit-out, roofing, finishing and stove installation.

These updates are provided as a courtesy and may vary depending on the stage of production.

3. Deposits

Deposits secure production capacity, workshop scheduling, project planning and the procurement of project-specific materials.

As a result, deposits may be retained in whole or in part where costs, supplier commitments, labour allocation or production scheduling obligations have already been incurred by The Irish Sauna Company.

Where any refund is issued, the amount retained will reflect the reasonable costs actually incurred by The Irish Sauna Company.

4. Order Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, you must notify us in writing as soon as possible.

Before Production Begins

Where production has not commenced and no project specific materials or third-party components have been ordered, we may agree to cancel the order subject to a reasonable administration charge.

After Production Begins

Once production has commenced, cancellations may only be eligible for a partial refund.

Production shall be deemed to have commenced once any of the following has occurred:

  • Project specific materials are ordered or allocated.

  • Manufacturing or fabrication work begins.

  • Production time or workshop capacity has been reserved.

  • Design, engineering or custom planning work has commenced.

5. Cancellation Charges & Deductions

Where a cancellation is accepted after production has commenced, The Irish Sauna Company reserves the right to deduct all reasonable costs incurred up to the cancellation date, including but not limited to:

  • Materials and components purchased specifically for the order.
  • Labour, manufacturing and fabrication costs already incurred.
  • Design, engineering and custom planning work completed.
  • Storage, transport, handling and logistics costs incurred.
  • Non refundable supplier charges.
  • Administrative and production scheduling costs.

Any refund will be calculated after deduction of these reasonable costs.

6. Collection & Delivery

We actively encourage customers to collect their completed sauna directly from our manufacturing facility or arrange collection using their own preferred transport provider.

Collection allows customers to inspect their sauna before it leaves our workshop and is often the most convenient and cost effective option.

If preferred, The Irish Sauna Company can arrange delivery on the customer's behalf.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, delivery is not included within the purchase price.

Delivery costs are calculated individually once the sauna is complete and ready for dispatch, taking into account factors including:

  • Delivery destination.
  • Vehicle requirements.
  • Crane requirements (where applicable).
  • Ferry charges.
  • Site accessibility.
  • Specialist transport requirements.

Estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith but are estimates only unless expressly agreed in writing.

7. Site Access

Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and adequate access for delivery vehicles, cranes (where required) and placement of the sauna unit.

Additional costs arising from restricted access, failed deliveries, delays or site complications may be charged separately.
